Work to tie-in part of the 311 Mapleton water line to The City of Boulder's main line will occur next week, causing partial road closures on Mapleton Ave. Details on the work schedule are listed below.
Monday, 8/17/20
Partial street closure on the North half of Mapleton, with traffic control in place.
Demo the asphalt and dig around the existing utilities.
Traffic plate to be installed at the end of the day to reopen both directions of traffic.
Tuesday, 8/18/20
Partial street closure on Mapleton, with traffic control in place.
Pipe install on the first half of the Mapleton roadway. Backfill to grade with recycled asphalt.
Both directions of traffic reopened by EOD.
Wednesday, 8/19/20
The South half of Mapleton Ave. will be closed, with traffic control in place.
Demo asphalt and dig to water line tie-in location.
Traffic plate to be installed at the end of the day to reopen both directions of traffic.
Thursday, 8/20/20
The South half of Mapleton Ave. will be closed, with traffic control in place.
Temporary water shut down on the main water line. The City of Boulder will notify anyone affected by this shut-down 24-48 hours in advance.
Install the 311 water line and tap into the City of Boulder's main line.
Backfill with recycled asphalt to allow both directions of traffic to reopen by EOD.
Friday, 8/21/20
Partial road closure of each side of the road individually.
Pave permanent asphalt patch.
Both sides of Mapleton Ave reopened by EOD.
