General Requirements
Work hours – All local codes and governing jurisdiction requirements will be strictly enforced, pursuant to The Boulder Municipal Code Section 5-9-3, B.R.C, 1981.
Badging of each employee once site orientation has been completed.
Secure site perimeter at all times and locked gates after hours.
All COVID-19 health guidelines produced by the CDC and CDPHE will be adhered to until further notice.
Code of Conduct
Being under the influence of or in possession of alcohol or drugs is not permitted. The worksite will be an alcohol and drug free zone.
No smoking will be allowed in the public right of way. Designated smoking areas will be assigned on-site.
Imminent Danger and safety violations will result in removal from the project.
Loud or obnoxious noises (swearing, yelling, whistling, etc..) or behavior that appears harassing or obscene (staring, gesturing, etc..) will not be tolerated. Everyone will behave in a professional manner on the site.
Audio equipment (radios, TV’s, CD’s, MP3, iPods, etc..) are not allowed.
Offensive clothing is not allowed. Clothing must not display obscene pictures, graphics, messages, or double meaning statements.
Taking breaks of any duration outside of the confines of the construction site will not be allowed.
Minimum Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Safety Glasses
Hard Hat
Work Boots
T-shirt and Long Pants
Facemasks, until further notice by CDC, OSHA and CDPHE
Housekeeping
Work areas will be kept free of accumulated scrap materials. Trash, scraps, cribbing, pallets, packaging, etc. will be placed in job-site trash containers in an effort to keep trash from being windblown.
Material sorting and recycling will be an on-going effort by the contractor throughout the project
Efforts will be made daily to ensure no trash accumulates on public right of ways outside the project boundaries.
Contractor will perform periodic walks of adjacent areas to the site and clean up any potential debris that has been blown from the site.
Fire Prevention
All infrastructure and fire protection measures will be in place prior to start of combustible construction.
The Fire Department has been given gate access codes and keys for all buildings on the site in case of an emergency.
Portable fire extinguishers will be located for every 3,000 sq. feet of work area.
Portable fire extinguishers will be located in the immediate vicinity of hot work. Hot work is to include all spark or flame producing activities. This includes grinding and welding.
Flammables will be stored in approved containers, quantities, and locations with appropriate fire protection meeting regulatory requirements.
Equipment Operation
Employees operating equipment on this jobsite must be trained and authorized. This includes, but is not limited to skid steers, water trucks, forklifts, trenchers, aerial lifts, etc.
Stormwater Requirements
The contractor will have stormwater protections established and maintained for the duration of the project In accordance with City of Boulder and State of Colorado Standards.
Boulder Inspectors as well as third party Inspectors will regularly verify compliance.
